Theisite & Azurite (Spain) | Rare Mineral Display
Theisite & Azurite (Spain) | Rare Mineral Display
Encased in a glass dome with wood base is a very interesting group of Theisite crystals with Azurite in matrix from the famous Spanish mine. Other minerals are often present in these samples such as strashirimite, tyrolite, zincolivenite, etc.
The base is constructed of a solid wood that I finished with multiple blue-grey stains and top sealant coats. The glass dome is secured with a high quality silicone gel. Non-slip pads have been affixed to the base for a solid foundation. I have included a custom label on the bottom of the base listing the rare mineral specimen included with the locales:
Locality: La Amorosa Mine, Villahermosa del Rio, Castellón, Valencian Community, Spain
Formulas: Cu5Zn5(AsO4,SbO4)2(OH)14 / Cu3(CO3)2(OH)2
Specimen Weight: 56 grams
I will slowly be adding more of these displays over time to help fund my new mineral collecting hobby. These rare minerals were personally selected and acquired from well established collections located around the world.
