This listing is for one of the first of my fully handmade guitar picks. This particular pick or plectrum is one of two created using Scandium metal shavings!
The pick is hand-cast in quality resin that has been impregnated with pure Scandium metal shavings. Scandium is an extremely lightweight, rare earth element that is sometimes added in small amounts to aluminum to dramatically increase its strength.
The pick was hand-cut and wet sanded through various levels of grit to achieve its final shape and fully beveled edge. I'm keeping the other one produced in this batch because I'm so happy with the outcome! This pick took a lot longer than others to sand and create the bevels as I had to cast it thicker in order to fully encapsulate the Scandium shavings.
The pick has a heavy weight thickness and is almost completely rigid, perfect for single string picking. The custom Thunderhop embossment ensures a solid grip.
