Mounted on top of an acrylic display is a specimen of Pyrite, Talc & Serpentine (likely a Listwanite rock). This was a self-find of mine back in May, 2025 from Hamilton, Washington, USA. [Hamilton is near Marblemount, North Cascades]

I had an XRF completed and the green mineral is primarily Magnesium-dominant. The two principal minerals appear to be talc and a Serpentine group mineral, most likely Antigorite with a likely admixture of platy Brucite. The metallic mineral that is spattering the matrix was found to be Pyrite. It can be hard to spot with the naked eye but with a magnification you will see, flashy, gold-colored flecks all over the matrix.

The specimen is secured with a high quality silicon gel. All the necessary information is included, engraved on two sides of the display:

PYRITE, TALC & SERPENTINE
