Molybdenite & Molybdenum Metal Density Cube

Grey metallic foliated molybdenite crystals on/in matrix. This specimen was found during the first German Antarctica expedition GANOVEX I 1979 / 80. It displays a different habit in comparison to the specimens found at Lilli Marleen Camp.

I recently had a custom acrylic display produced by one of the best mineral display producers on the market. I'm looking to give this one a new home as I'm running out of space on my shelf. The display is engraved on two sides to ensure it delivers all of the important information. This special display includes a 167 gram+ 99.9% pure Molybdenum metal density cube! The Molybdenite and Molybdenum cube are affixed with a high quality tack and can be removed, if desired.
