This is a STICKER of a pen and ink stippling I did inspired by the Nordic folk band Heilung. Heilung creates music that could be considered an "amplified history." They incorporate vocals in ancient languages such as Old Norse and Proto-Germanic while using handmade instruments that create a truly unique and primal experience.
This particular piece depicts one of the lead vocalist/shaman Kai Uwe Faust. I was inspired to create this piece after watching Heilung's live performance of Elddansurin - 'fire dancer'. Eldr - being the Old Norse word for 'fire'. During the performance, Kai Uwe Faust was using a flaming torch to play a shield like a drum and I wanted to capture this.
This sticker is waterproof, weatherproof and even dishwasher safe!
