Scandium is an extremely lightweight, rare earth element that is sometimes added in small amounts to aluminum to dramatically increase its strength.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe pick was hand-cut and wet sanded through various levels of grit to achieve its final shape and fully beveled edge. I'm keeping the other one produced in this batch because I'm so happy with the outcome! This pick took a lot longer than others to sand and create the bevels as I had to cast it thicker in order to fully encapsulate the Scandium shavings.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe pick has a heavy weight thickness and is almost completely rigid, perfect for single string picking.
